Troop 39 serves
the city of Russellville, Alabama. The
Troop is chartered by First United
Methodist Church and is a member of
the Greater Alabama Council of the Boy
Scouts of America. Troop meetings are held at
5:30 p.m. on Tuesday nights
at First United Methdist Church in downtown
Russellville. Troop 39 also 'gives
back' to the community through a variety of
troop and eagle community service projects
including park repair/restoration projects, tree
plantings, flag ceremonies and assistance at
local community

Board of Review and Court
of Honor |

Troop 39
encourages advancement at all levels of
Scouting, whether it be helping with the Cub
Scouts of Pack 39 or giving instruction to our
own members. Troop 39 regularly schedules
Boards of Review and Courts of Honor to reward
those boys that have worked hard and have taken
another step on the Eagle Trail. Click here

Newsletter Contest
Beginning in January 2008, Troop 39 will have a newsletter. Each of the Patrols will be asked to contribute news, there will be a calendar of events, pictures, and other bits of information that you will need. However, to kick things off, we will need a name for the newsletter. Please submit you suggestions to the Senior Patrol Leader and the PLC will pick the best one.
District Roundtable
The next Westmoreland District Roundtable will be January 3, 2008 at Woodlawn Church of Christ in Florence.
Yearly Planning Meeting Set
The yearly program meeting for the Troop has been set for Monday, January 7th at 5:30 at FUMC. All adult leaders and committee members are encouraged to come. Also, all Patrol Leaders, the Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader should attend.
